Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is a distinguished Ghanaian politician, lawyer, and entrepreneur. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ghana Law School, an MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Cape Coast. He is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana.
Currently serving his third term as Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi, Hon. Oppong Nkrumah plays a pivotal role on the Parliamentary Committees on Finance, and Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs. He brings a dynamic blend of legal, financial, and entrepreneurial expertise to his public service, with a strong commitment to inspiring the next generation to use public service as a tool for national transformation.
As former Minister for Works and Housing, he prioritized the expansion of urban and rural housing, advanced sea defence infrastructure, and implemented critical flood control interventions. His tenure reflected a strategic emphasis on resilience and sustainable development.
Earlier, as Minister for Information, he led transformative reforms in government communications. He institutionalized regular national briefings, pioneered digital public communication platforms, and oversaw the implementation of the Right to Information Act. Under his leadership, the Information Services Department was restructured into a modern hub for research and public education.
At the constituency level, Hon. Oppong Nkrumah’s impact is tangible. His Education and Skills Development Fund has provided scholarships to over 450 beneficiaries since 2017. He has also supported the construction and refurbishment of school infrastructure and attracted key national development projects to Ofoase Ayirebi, significantly uplifting its socio-economic profile.
Within Parliament, he has emerged as a key voice in public policy discourse, actively contributing to national budgets and economic policymaking processes since 2017.
