H.E J.A Kufuor

Life Patron

As the Life Patron of the Busia Institute, he brings a wealth of experience, wisdom, and leadership expertise to the organisation. Throughout his distinguished career, President Kufuor has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public service, democracy, and human rights, earning him international recognition and respect.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board serves as a key consultative body, providing strategic guidance and expert counsel to support BIRDD’s mission, values, and long-term objectives. The Board plays a vital role in advising on institutional strategies, resource mobilisation, and stakeholder engagement to enhance organisational impact and sustainability.

Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah

Board Chairman

Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is a distinguished Ghanaian politician, lawyer, and entrepreneur. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ghana Law School, an MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Cape Coast.

Executive Management

The Executive Management team, led by the Executive Director, serves as the operational nucleus responsible for executing strategic plans and managing institutional functions.

Anane Agyei

Executive Director

Anane Agyei is a scholar, communication and cultural consultant, writer, and governance advocate committed to championing African excellence. His academic journey reflects a deep passion for African studies and the transformative power of culture. He holds a master’s degree in Communication Studies, where he explored the role of communication in shaping cultural identities and societal progress. His foundation in English and Information Studies, earned at the undergraduate level, equipped him with a strong grounding in language, cultural analysis, and knowledge systems.
