Partnership Principles
- Formal collaboration should be governed by a written agreement defining purpose, responsibilities, resources, branding and accountability
- The phrase “in partnership with” should be used only where an approved agreement exists.
- Sponsors and partners may not control admissions, research findings, assessment outcomes or the award of Fellowship certificates.
- BIRDD should distinguish clearly between confirmed partners, prospective collaborators and institutions with which it is merely in discussion.
- Public acknowledgement should be proportionate, accurate and consistent with the terms of the relationship.
