BIRDD regards publication as a central means of advancing scholarship, preserving knowledge and informing public discourse. Its publications are intended to combine academic rigour with clarity and public usefulness.

The Institute publishes and supports books, monographs, biographies, policy briefs, research reports, working papers, documentary resources and educational materials relating to governance, leadership, history, public policy, rural development, citizenship and heritage.
